Dean Johnston brings over two decades of distinguished military service to Shield of Odin as co-owner and strategic operations leader. With over 21 years of active-duty service in the United States Coast Guard, Dean has developed an intimate understanding of the unique challenges faced by service members and their families, particularly during deployments and military transitions.

Throughout his Coast Guard career, Dean gained extensive experience in complex operational environments and witnessed firsthand the impact of military service on both service members and their loved ones. This deep understanding of military life and the challenges of transitioning from active duty to civilian life drives his passion for ensuring veterans receive the support they deserve.

As a retiring Coast Guard veteran, Dean understands the complexities of navigating military benefits, healthcare systems, and the often-overwhelming process of accessing entitled services.
